Exposing at Design Week México as part of the Inédito program Blanca Arcos presented herself as BABA Estudio with two pieces, one of them is Melting table+Chair:

The piece is composed of two objects-furniture that are contradictory to the reality of their main material. The melting design gives the spectator the illusion of constant movement, as opposed to its static nature. The organic forms dialogue with the different heights of their supports, which changes depending on their position, creating different looks on the same piece. The sinuosity of its extremities sizes the American maple wood and visually transports us to a new materiality inconsistent with the original, a flued one, fleeting and ephemeral. That is how it gets flexible objects which applications, not preset, can vary and adapt to the user and their surroundings in time and in function to their needs.- Blanca Arcos
